California's levee Problems

California's levee problems

Associated press

Scott Lindlaw

Schwartzenegger declared a state of emergency Monday in seven northern and central California counties because this was the rainiest March we have ever had and property was in danger.

Levee repairs are usually handled in the summer but it cannot wait becausee some of the levees could fill.

In Febuary he got 100 million dollars for repairs for 24 sites.

They will be erinforcing berms, adding rocks to preotect a river bank and raising a levee in Fresno.

The storms have washed out roads  and many peole have had to leave their homes.

Perhaps it is a new ear for levee repair. What do you think?

I think I wish New Orleans got the levees fixed too. I'm happy for CA but New Orleans needs help too.

I think when the people elected Ahhhhhhhhhnold, they expected him to run out and block the levees with boulders when this sort of thing happened.
