Why was Jesus Christ born?

Why did Jesus Christ come here?

Jesus Christ told his apostles in several sermons that he came here for many reasons; 1. to teach them about the nature of eternal life , 2. to teach them to love God, their family, and themselves, 3. to teach them to teach other people to do the same.

For many centuries he has been of great interest to believers and non believers because of:1. his faith in God, 2. his insistence that he himself was God's son and a person could reach eternal life through Jesus,

3.the miracles that he performed, 4. the love and the compassion that he generated, 5.the apostles who followed him and built a church upon his words, and 6.

the creation of the church that is still here today, 7. the fact that he was a prophet to the Jews.

He was a Jewish young man who prayed often and who grew up in the temple.

Why do you think he was born?

Did you hear some court in Italy is going to attempt to take the case of proving whether Jesus actual existed? Some guy that is taking his friend who is a priest to court on it. I think it was a link a few days ago on AOL welcome page.

I don't believe there was an actual "Jesus" personally, maybe his name was Jesus, my husband has a friend with the same name, but he wasn't the "Son of God".  Just like folklore in Scotland and Ireland, stories get embellished over the years.  It's just that a bible was written (a fairytale I call it) and people use this as a religion now.  But, that's just MY opinion, who am I?  LOL!
Hugs and love,

Jesus came to die for our sins, to save us. To show us how to live according to The Father. He came and died so that we may have eternal life.

I think God had to experience life as a human, and He did this by coming to us in the form of a human baby, growing up as a small child, learning the ways of humans, the hurts, the sorrows. I think if God had not experienced humanity in this way, He might have destroyed us and started over. When Jesus said on the cross, "Father Forgive them for they know not what they do." he was referring to more than what they were doing at that moment (killing him). I think he was referring to the whole human race! We don't know what we are doing, we don't understand God, we can never be the beings He first created. So forgive us, Father, for we have sinned. It's not a fairy tale. People don't die over fairy tales. People don't face death believing in a fairy tale. Jesus came so that God would forgive us, to save us from our sins. And God listened. That's why I think Jesus came here. see my entry about that ... I wrote it during Advent.  tHanks, Nat,  Bea
