What Thing You Paid For Made You the Happiest?

What Thing you Paid for Made You the Happiest?

My stepfather and mother built us a treehouse when we were kids!

It was the best place to go to dream and share and to listen to the wind.

Being in that treehouse made me feel alive ! It was great!

Please write the thing that you or your folks bought that made or makes you happy!

If it will be in your blog please leave me a link.

It would probably have to be our yellow lab Libby!  She cost a lot of money...just shy of $1,000 and was actually about 300 more but my hubby got them down on the price!  She gives more love than could ever be measured in dollars....

Be well,
Dawn

I responded to John's question at my blog, Nat, but our best purchase that made us the happiest was when we built our home. Is that your treehouse in the pix above? I would love to have had a treehouse! What kid wouldn't? I built a shrub house, an ice house (one winter in New Hampshire), but never a tree-house. Bea

Treehouses are great! Just one thing I remember was when my Dad bought me a giant stuffed Snoopy! Sassy ;-)

if i put it in my journal i think i'd make everyone sick of hearing about Adam. what makes me happiest is the plane tickets i buy when i go to see him. just looking at the prices online and dreaming makes me happy.

I'd say "my computer," but it was a gift.

When I was a kid, I wanted a treehouse.  We didnt have one in our yard, seeing as how the homes in our neighborhood were still pretty new, so the trees were too small.  But my brother and I built one in an area not too far away, where the trees were overgrown, and there was a small stream nearby.  We spent the whole summer at that place, dragging old pieces of furniture to it, and painting the interior.  One day we showed up, and somebody had gone in and trashed the whole thing.  Knocked the walls out, and tore up the few things we had accumulated.  I was brokenhearted.  I'm glad you were able to build one on your own property.   Wow .... I hadn't thought about that in ages ...  thanks for stirring up the memories!  Tina    http://journals.aol.com/onemoretina/Ridealongwithme
