Mindfulness Revisited

Mindfulness Revisited

Mindfulness does not refer to "your mind being full"; it is more like your mind being aware of your actions physically and your thoughts. We can be mindful while washing dishes, walking down a road, or kissing a child when we put him to bed!

What do you think about this practice?

We learn to do this practice over time. Then we concentrate about being mindful and compassionate a(as much as is possible) in our actions towards others.

Do you like this concept?

It is always a good idea to watch what you say and do to others cause you can never take back something negative.

I like the concept, yes. but it'll take an awful lot to achieve it. least for me. i'm usually a act or talk first kinda person. which is bad.

Yes! I have a mindfulness journal asgn my students can choose to do. I loved the first time a number of years ago I heard the sound of geese flying...their wings in the air. Last week I heard it again because they were low & I noticed one sounded different...he had a few feathers missing! :-)

I try to be fully in the moment wherever I am , whatever I am doing. I dont' want to sleepwalk through my time here on this earth. It is so easy to daydream and go through life on automatic pilot, like when you are driving in your car & suddenly think,"how did I get here?" you miss the scenery on the way when you are living inside your self.
