Google did the pictures

What was Your Favorite Thanskgiving? Tell us!

Oh and Europeans; tell us about another favorite holiday!

I think it would be fun to relax and talk about our favorite Thanskgiving. You know the one; the fireplace was going, family was okay with each other.

Some people might have played the guitar and of course the family clowns were kidding everybody!:):)

You loved the food and the company was unusually fun!:):)

Mine was at one of my aunt's house. My aunt was very nice; people were is a festive mood. The weather was crisp and the joles were great!:) my cousin was goofing off with me and everything was enjoyable!

It is a strange thing when you celebrate Thanksgiving abroad because no one knows what youare talking about!:) And the grocers find the idea of roasting an entire turkey a farce!

ok your turn!

TY

Well, here in England, we do not have Thanksgiving as you know.  My favourite has to be Christmas, but Christmases gone by.  Those when I was a tiny child and played in the snow in the times when we did have a white Christmas, visiting Santa in the days before Christmas began in September and you only got excited a couple of weeks before.  My favourite Christmases were when Becky was little and my Mum and Dad and Mike's Mum came to us.  It was my Mum's Birthday on Christmas Day so we made it extra special.  Mum and I shared the same sort of humour and we used to laugh until we cried.  I miss her very much. I miss all our parents.  Those days are gone and can never return but as our grandsons get older, Christmases will be really fun again hopefully.

All the times when my Mom was alive were special, she always made it such fun & she was such a great cook! LOL
I do miss her, of course for several years prior to her death she was in my care & unable to participate a lot...but she was there!
Hugs, Sugar

I was almost 10 years old and my mother and I travelled by train to see my sister.  She had just lost a premature baby and she was heartbroken.  When we got there, she had a turkey in the frig but didn't know how to cook it.  My mom sent me to prepare it while she soothed my sis.  I pulled all the pin feathers (yes it was the era when turkeys still had pin feathers) washed the turkey and made the stuffing the way my mom always did.  It was the very first time I had baked the turkey by myself.  It was a sad time, but I was very proud of myself - turkey was delicious.  Blessings, Penny http://journals.aol.com/firestormkids04/FromHeretoThere

Recently, we have made our Thanksgiving holiday real fun and relaxing by making it pajama Thanksgiving. That's right. You can't come unless you're in your comfiest PJ's. : )

I don't really having Thanksgiving memories because we don't celebrate it in South Africa.  I must say, though, it is a holiday that we have quickly adopted because we are so thankful to be in this beautiful country with all the opportunities that we have. I am thankful to have met all the wonderful J-Landers and am thankful that I am able to write my thoughts for everyone to read. I am hoping that Thanksgiving will become a wonderful time of memories for my children as we integrate your culture into ours.  Love Caroline
