Indonesia's Large Earthquake

Introduction This earthquake happened on Saturday, May 27th, 2006. My apologies that I did not blog about it sooner! Shermeen, my great blogger Jland Friend, helped me by emailing me this information!

This earthquake caught Indonesia outof luck.

Historically, since Indonesia is located within the volcanic and fault lines surrounding the Pacific Basin,the "Ring of Fire" it was  a possibility.

Witnesses of the quake have seen hundreds of injured people arriving at  hospitals.Electricity has been down and people in Java have been searching for people buried under rubble during the night with flashlights.The earthquake leveled hotels, homes and bridges. People bgan digging mass graves. Several government buildings and hotels have been damaged. Communication lines have been down.A driving rain storm caused the hospitals to set up tents for the injured. Many victims were laying outside of the building on top of newspapers. Tens of thousands of people are now without a home.
