A New Form of Surgery Emerges: Natural Orfice Surgery

Surgeons are trying a new form of surgery which will allow the surgeon to use small robotic structures enter through yuor throat , make an incision in your intestines and then reach your organs!

This is to avoid body scars!

Would you be a candidate if you needed surgery?

Dr. Paul Swain is the surgeon.

I'm sure Dr Swain is more than capable and very talented, but my answer to that questions is hell no! no, no, no way, no! lol! it'd freak me out way too much, i'd just take the body scars thank you. i'm not that vain. i saw i-robot. i think technology and ethics are no longer in the same bed. these days they're making it possible to do things that aren't necessarily ethical. esp when it comes to stem cells and IVF.
Part of being a skilled surgeon is cutting and being able to handle a scapel well. now they want robots to replace it for them. and how can we be sure the robot won't make a mistake? cut the wrong organ or something? what would be the repercussions of that. And how does the robot get back out again? its just all too puzzling to me. i'd rather stick with what's worked pretty darn well up to now!
