ABC, "The View"

Whoopi's "Big Book ofManners" is out!

Whoopi has published what looks like a delightful book for children !It is brand new, October, 2006!

It is beautifully illustrated and it talks about all of those lovely manners, those actions which make the other people in your life feel so much better!

Whoopi entertained the women on "The View" by talking about how when she was growing up, she had to address her family and visitors correctly. She thinks it was a good experience for her to have that discipline...She said also that some paretns were not taking the time to interest their children in manners and that it would back fire for them.

So what do you think about it?

If you had a little child, would you get one or rent one?

Why or why Not?

Let us know!

I've always loved Whoopi and yes, I'd have my grandchildren read the book. They read a lot of books, so why not this one. : )

I'm not much of a fan of Whoopi's anymore, but if this book is about good, old fashioned manners- can never have enough books, but judging by a lot of kids lack of manners these days, parents don't seem to be reading all these books!!  I haven't used any books, except the Bible, and the manners that I was taught growing up.  Thanks Nat- Carolyn

Anything that promotes treating others with respect and common courtesy is a good thing!  :)

Whoopi is a funny lady. I was brought up to have manners and to respect myself and those around me. I don't think that our modern society has any idea what good manners are. People are too wrapped up in themselves to respect anyone else. We are just getting worse and the years go by. My Regards, Bill.
