These are scholars who are setting a great trend in motion: they want to educate a group of Muslims on the virtue and the advantage of combining American culture with a Muslim religion mixed with tolerance!
in other words, they are looking for Muslims who will stand tall for their families and their religion but without any violence. Their point is one does not have to be a materialist to live in the USA. Another point according to Goodstein is that they want to build a strong Muslim culture that beleives in coexistance; not unlike Ghandi did! This is great news for me!
