Which Animal do you Prefer: A Cat or a Dog?

(John Scalzi's assignment last week)

Growing up my family had lots of cats: they went everywhere, they were very entertaining and we each had our favorite. They are so much fun to watch!

As an adult our family has had a few cats, b.c. (before kids) and a couple of them a.c. (after kids).

We have had wonderful dogs; dogs who play with us, with the kids, dogs who follow the kids around.

So which do you prefer? and why?

You can write your favorite, or leave us your link.

And b.t.w., Monponsett of High Above the Courtside thought of this assignment. You might want to visit her blog too!

I love pretty much all animals for their different qualities.  I have two cats now, but do want to get a dog when I can.

Cats! Cats! Cats! I love cats! They're just so funny, or at least those I've had have been! I'd never have another dog, to much trouble to give them the exercise they need. When I had dogs I use to walk about five miles a day with them, what cat wants to do that?! Jeannette xx

my favorite, of course, would have to be a dog; Koda would be insanely jealous if I had chosen a cat, LOL

have a good weekend :)

My choice would be dog!  I breed and raise minature schnauzers...love the breed so much....I do love cats and know many owners of cats.  They are very calming to many people...that is a plus.  Hugs and love to you,
Joyce

i'm most certainly a dog person, adam is a cat person.
i like dogs because unlike cats, they listen better and give you attention when you want it. not when they want it. cats will ignore you unless they want food or want to go outside. dogs play and give affection whenever you require it. plus, have you ever seen a cat fetch a stick!?
