"Dutch Courage"
Preface
Mrs. Hersi Ali applied for asylum in Holland under an assumed name. She pretended to be leaving Kenya to get married in Canada in order to move to Holland !
She had grown up in Saudi Arabia. She was a good freind of Hugo Van Gogh, a distant relative of Vincent Van Gogh in Holland. She became an outspoken critic of violent Islam. She advised the Netherlands parliament to strengthen their borders, update their security measures and be careful of Al Quaida groups.
She was popular.
She and Van Gogh were is favor of a film that he had created called "Submission." It spoke of a few women who had not been treated well at all and who needed their freedom. He was stabbed in midday on his bicycle repeatedly in the middle of Amsterdam.
Mrs. Hersi was advised to get a bodyguard. There were some people who felt that her presence at her apartment and her bodyguards made their apartments less desirable in today's market. They asked
Mrs. Ver Donk to deport her since she had come here under a false name. Mrs. Ver Donk, to many people's sadness and consternation, did that. She was told to Leave Holland. Mrs. Hersi Ali is seen by many as a Dutch hero for her courage and her desire to help Holland be strong.
Here in America the American Free Enterprise Institute is taking Mrs. Ali In.
This is a sad tale indeed.
Many say that Ver Donk is a big looser in this too.
Postscript:
There was an artist , b.t.w. , in Rotterdam who painted an angel on his own studio in with the sign "thou shall not Kill" on it. Arabs called the fire departmetn. They sadi it could not stand. It was hosed off. A journalist tried to intervene and he was placed in jail.

He Paints An Angel
He paints an angel on the wall
His friend has died; he wants to share
A feeling of peace
For his friends there
The police are called
It would appear
Painting angels
Is not politically correct now:
Nor the words:"Thou shall not kill".
The police rush over
with the fire department
and a hose.
A journalist incarcerated
for his protest
He paints an angel
And I cry
Sand bullets like tears
rip my heart open
for us; for him
Time was when
We would protect him
He painted an angel
Google has the pictures

Al Zarqawi is Dead :Iraq Loses a Major Alquaida Leader
CBS News
Iraqi troops, with the help of US and Allied troops, have succeeded in taking out this leader. There will still be fighting CBS has announced, but the well orchestrated terror that this man has done is gone.
It is a major victory for Iraq for their safety. The President of Iraq was quoted in saying that this leader wanted a war in Islam itself.
I'm thinking of our troops and Allied troops there today and wishing them well!Leave comments for troops if you like.
Adventures In Ebay: He Gave His Faith
(This is a story based upon a sad real life event. The names of the people have been changed.)
Introduction
Lots of adults who Will knew had made money by buying something of value on Ebay (he thought) and later selling it; pocketing the proft and enjoying a new hobby.
He had been saving all year for this purchase. He had done research on he Web, he had made up field notes, he had looked up the famed basketball shoes with the big acclaim from big name atheletes.
And "volia!" when the said item became available, he dug into those savings. He even borrowed money from a friend. The seller had said online that this was the realthing.
How could Will fail?He had all of the confidence in the world that Ebay would verify the authentic nature of these shoes. He used a freind's pay pal with their permission and he was in!
Enter his cousins. He informed Will that the purchase was in route and it could not now be stopped. However, he said, the shoes were not authentic; they were phoney products; a set up to lure like teens inot buying junk. Will was devastated. How could his good faith have been traded for fraud???? How can this sort of theft stand in our society?
His cousin said that all he can hope for is that the seller has areputation to uphold and that therefore he will give Will his money back. There is no guarantee like there is in a "normal" store; no check system to rely on. Hopefully, Pay Pall will help Will get repaid. Will is thinking; how can we adults let this theft stand? Don't we care?
Please write in yuor comments about this situation or others that you know of where justice was served.
