Naisha Luiken and Shaun Johnson: Olympic heroes

Luiken and Johnson worked very hard and overcame obstacles in the Olympics.
They supported each other even though they were strong competitors and they embraced the true meaning of team players and friendship.
Please leave comments about them or about the importance of teamwork in your
understanding. Have you helped others overcome obstacles because they were your friends?
And have you yourself overcome physical or emotional difficulties to accomplish something? Please write about it here.

They are 2 very wonderful young ladies.....
They have so much talent and they have represented Team USA so very well.
They will be coming to our Metro Centre this fall on a gymnastics exibition.
I want to go so badly and see them in person.

Every day I have to overcome negative thought and anger
every day I start again adn I get clsoer to who I am going to be
I learn to love who I am nore.
Yea, they art great kids
I like the story in People magazine about Shawn being an average kid who had not given up her life for the sport
that happens so much
even at the level Caitlin competed, there was practice 6 days a week for 4 hours
It was how she spent her childhood
but it was always what she wanted
until she broke her leg so badly
I can't watch gymnastics till this day

You really can't have a strong team if everyone focuses on their own desires and plans-  it's good to see good values instilled in teamwork with these athletes.  We try and teach our son every day how important teamwork is in our family. Thanks Nat~  God Bless!  Carolyn

This is something that has been largely lost in our society today.  Many now have a "me" mentality, which means teamwork & helping others is gone.  A vast change in just my lifetime.  It's great to see young people like this are still out there.
