Star Wars in the Beginning

When Star Wars was new, it was a shining star; we had never seen a movie of its' kind (dimensional, with many spacecraft and several entertaining scenes which differed from one another.) Young people admired the Princess because she had courage to "fight the good fight" along with Skywalker even if she died trying.

Skywalker was fun and some times funny :).

Chewybaca was hillarious. The fight scene at the bar was so much fun because it gave comic relief and people used to love to compare the weird creatures who were there.:).

Darth Vader was so bad; and his robotic helpers were everywhere.

Everyone loved to play with the laser swords and they used to hand them out at parties.

Star Wars was definitely a big part of a lot of people's lives over the years. We even had a dog named Chewy. LOL I don't think there is a child anywhere in America that hasn't had at least one light saber battle.

Hi you, I found your journal!  ;)  I have you on alerts now and will be back each time you do a new entry.  My son has all the light sabres that are available right now, and he is awaiting Mace Vindu's purple one that is coming out in June with much anticipation.  It's like my life has come full circle.  I saw the original Star Wars when I was 11 and now my son at 9 years old is experiencing all the excitement I did at a similar age.  We are going to go and see the movie this weekend, if we can get in that is!  :)
Hugs and love, Lisa

I think a lot of people have nostalgia for the original Star Wars series. It definitely had a magic about it...the last or first three should I say have lost most of that magic but are still fun to watch. I think the most recent (#3) was the best of it's kind and had few things left to be desired...way to go Lucas, you still do have some of it in ya. lol

Chewy is great, but Yoda is definitely my favorite!
