my mother

My mother was a big believer in bringing people home from other countries to dinner. It was her way of creating a larger community for everyone to enjoy. She was very creative, smart and she had a great sense of humor. She was very compassionate and she was a great volunteer. My mother was a friend to many.

So many people don't seem to be worried about family, compassion, or volunteering anymore. It's great to hear stories like this one. You should post a blog with more about your mother in it. I would love to read more.

How fortunate you are to have a mother as you do.  I believe that compassion is taught it is not something we just have inside of us.  Your mother handed it down to you and now you will hand it down to the next generation.  Beautiful!  :)
