the stony cliff
his gait doth advise;
I wonder if
My friend
doth surmise...
my aim
Slash slash
he lurches
fearlessly;
Stonily I brace
myself
For a
cold blow
Wondering if
My cavorting dance
and forethought
will warm my aim
and shorten
my reach?
Or will he dance before
Freezing my blows?
and hasten
my retreat?

Hmm, did you watch a fencing match? I love stories that deal with swords, and sword fighting. In fact, the one I'm reading now is about a couple of sword dancers. They "dance" in circles drawn in the earth, often to the death, with challengers. I love the dance between sword masters. I love your imagery of the sword dance in stone. Very nice work, Nat. bea
speaking of swordfights (which you did so eloquently) I saw Orlando Bloom on the Tonight Show last night. What an adorable unpretentious young man.

Dawn
I like to watch a fencing match...do you fence? ..for it is eloquently written here my dear.
Gem :-)
I used to fence in college. Unfortunately, my nickname was pretty much "pin-cushion."

I like how sunnyside46 can bring virtually any conversation around to Orlando Bloom. A true talent.
Also, I like the poem very much, Nat.
