Baby Einstein touted itself as a way to educate a baby while in utero!(in the mother).
I was interested to read that studies had proven otherwise.
(APA August).
I am curious: is this what you expected? Or did you think babies in the womb could develop bigger and more brilliant minds before birth?
uhh....just curious!
Let me know what you think!
thanks!

Well i don't think einstein's mother knew about the child she was having. I think that a lot has to do with the way children are raised.

Babies in the womb need some important things --- an engaged emotionally healthy mother who takes good care of herself -- and therefore takes good care of baby --- and a mother who provides nutritional value for herself -- and therefore baby --- and good prenatal care. If all of that is in place, baby arrives as ready to learn the world around them as is possible. That's soon enough lol. I would not be trying to teach baby to read in utero.

I see parents treating their kids like some sort of project to show off to the neighbors and it troubles me...just enjoy the kids, relax and love them.

dear Bea, hi!
If you look up Baby Einstein on oogle you will find and article from time that reads something like: Baby Einstein; not so smart after all!
I tried to insert the link in my blog but I don't know if it works !

Talking to baby or playing soothing music while still in womb is ok...but I don't think trying to "teach" a child inside the womb works.

Trust me... a fetus would only be confused by geometry.
