I have to admire Mrs. Jackson though for having such courage to do what she did.

bettyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2368811144681823007.post-61211112805260703162006-09-01T15:50:00.000-07:002006-09-01T15:50:00.000-07:00I'm so clueless, you know. And what an awful situation for her husband to be in. He doesn't want to loose the woman he loves, but doesn't want their children to be left with no parents!

You know, people shouldn't have been put in that kind of situation in the first place. I know that Katrina was nature doing what it does, but people should have left. and help should have gone in sooner to get people out.

Reading this entry makes and made me think of Titanic, the scene where she lets go of Jacks hand and he sinks to the bottom!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2368811144681823007.post-51934834009172877752006-09-08T21:20:00.000-07:002006-09-08T21:20:00.000-07:00That was heart breaking, but what an amazing thing...That was heart breaking, but what an amazing thing to give one's life for another. There was a story here a few months ago- I live in SW Florida (Yes- I know hurricanes well by now) Where a family (Mom, Dad, son, daughter) was out boating along our coast, when a bad storm came up and their boat tipped over. They were out for quite a while, and the father drowned. The boy gave his Mom his life jacket so she could survive to take care of his sister. He drowned too. It was so sad, I couldn't get over it. Jesus said, no greater love hath a man who gives his life for another. How true. God bless- CarolynAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
