"Getting a Leg up on Land"

by JenniferA.Clark

Paleontologists sensed that the tetrapods were connected somehow to fish but they could not produce the evidence in fossil form until 2005.

Acanthostega lived 360 million years ago in Greenland. He had paddles for swimming adn he had legs, but they could not support his weight on dry land. he had ribs that were too short to keep the chest cavity from collapsing once it left the water.

What do you think?

I think scientists will always be searching the fossil records for new finds and that over time that many things will be discovered but some things we will never truly understand.
